From this link it's sure Obama is going to get CIR taken care of.All those undocumented workers ,who he is so sweetly saying should get into the the end of the line after paying fine ,now will they effect our long queues in anyway?(like the amnesty people did to EB3 in 2000)
He is not talking about GC's ,though he did skirt around H1B. I'm not able to figure out if this article holds any good new for us .

My case went directly to CSC for H1 extension and is pending since July 10 any idea others have same problem.

However I am not sure if RN positions quality for a h1-b. There was a 50,000 green cards nurses category a cpl of years back for nurses because nurses do not quality for h1. However they did not extend the category.

The upside-down "V" shaped branches in the upper left corner are distracting, but could probably be cloned out with a bit of work in PS. The bright leaves in the upper right corner are also distracting, but a bit of burning in could probably make them stand out less. The water is blown out down at the bottom, but that's easy to excuse if you're using a P&S where you don't have much control over the exposure - or even a way to reliably gauge it until the image is on your computer monitor. Overall, the image has potential, and it shouldn't be too hard to fix most of the little issues I see with a bit of time in Photoshop. :)

Not a big deal in my opinion - the visa system needed a rehaul in any case. Cant undertsand how a tourist visa can double up as a business one.

I applied by mail to the DC embassy. I sent photocopies of everything and no problem.
The only thing to note though is that the DC embassy took a whole month to process my visa. I was going to Canada in September, applied in early july and received it somewhere in August. In the meanwhile when enquired about the status through email, they said they will delay it more now because I enquired. :) (and we think Indian govt. offices have bad attitude)
So I'd advise you to accomodate for the long time to get the Visa, if applying by mail.

You need to turn in all your I-94 cards, e.g. I-94 below the H1B approval notice, change of status. When you re enter the new I-94 card will have a new number so old ones if you kept would become useless. I would highly recommend that make copies of all your I-94 cards at I-485 they can ask you provide old I-94 cards Have seen cases where this has happened.

My 6 year H1 term expired in Jan 2010 (not applied for extension yet). I live in IL.
I took the motorcycle training class and passed. Now, I have to go to the DMV to get the license. My existing 4 wheeler license is valid upto 2011. Will I get my motorcyle license only till 2010 (end of H1)?
Anyone knows how this works?

I anticipate an inevitable situation arising out regarding my parents' health, that would require us to move back to India sometime in 2007. My EB2 NIW PD is Dec 2004. Does somebody out there with knowledge about issues and procedures connected with transferring from AOS application to Consular processing in India?

As such, there is no grace period and it starts counting towards unauthorized stay (US is somewhat liberal for unauthorized stay for up to 180 days). It should be fine getting H1B transferred ASAP.
After 180 day, reentry can be banned for three years. After 1 years reentry can be banned for 10 years.

there is a little logic involved here. what if you changed the jobs between your AC21 and latest NOID. I think CIS just wants to make sure you are still hired by issuing a NOID even though they looked into AC21.
BTW I had the same situation and I had to respond to NOID with the same emp letter.

We had some plans till december, then we ran out of members:p . There are only 2 members now.
