Hello
I have received so many different responses regarding the shots required for over 65s. Our local health department, the INS Doctor and the INS all seem to be providing different information, I'm hoping someone can clarify.
The civil surgeon provided us with a list of shots, basically it contained all the shots including those that I thought were just for children. We went to a public health nurse today who gave us TDP and Varicella shots. Are the MMR, flu and pneumococcal shots required by the INS?
The INS approved Doctor wanted $600 per person for all of the shots. The exam and blood test were $120. We've decided to go to a private Doctor and the local health department for the shots instead of paying the $600. I'm hoping someone can clarify what is needed so that we avoid paying for shots that are not needed.

In my opinion - with a Apr10 AP expiry date, getting a Schengen until Apr20 may not be possible. Unless the consulate wants to be nice to you! :)

Is this NEW employer or same employer .
If NEW employer ,then u can apply for new H1B petition but cannot ask for extension of stay .
Extension of stay is for someone who is already in USA on H1B status .

My wife is US citizen and I am applying GC through her. We need to goto India for her sister's wedding on Aug 9th. How long does it take for AP to be approved? Can we expedite AP for wedding reason or should we do only for medical reason ? We live in California.

..Wadhwa,...Dalmia...all desi names. Well, Anderson Cooper is american. But what I mean is that the authors of such articles and studies are almost always Indian origin people.
While it serves well to have such studies out there, we need more white american people supporting this cause. And I stress WHITE amerrican.

Is it true that my spouse (currently on H4) with pending AOS if outside US when my (principal applicant) approval comes, will not be able to use H4. Will her H4 get invalidated the moment i become a permanent resident. What happens if she boards a plane and reaches US to find that her H4 is not valid ?

Here is a hypo situation.
I am sorry this may have been discussed before,.
If 485 from current company is denied, can I use i-140 and EAD and join a different company and have my status safe.. If so, what will be my next steps and what will jhave to be applied again. Current company , lets say will not revoke 140.

COBRA is a good option but I know its crazy expensive. They also have a high deductible plan. If your friend does not have kids (or even if he does) you could opt for HD plan - their premiums are much lower (< $500 for family). eg. for a doctors visit, under normal plan he would be paying 40$ copay and insurance would pay in-network negotiated rate of say $120. With HD plan he would need to pay $120 for doctors visit until he reaches deductible of $6k for the year. Not a bad option if you are healthy individual - covers you well in worst case scenario... Ask your family doctor in india to send you imp drugs, antibiotics etc etc. Within 100$ you can cover all medicine expenses...

I work for an India based company that has operations in US. I have been travelling back and forth between India and US for about 8 years now. I am currently in US. My labor got approved this January (PD 7/2004) and my company has filed I140 soon after that. I still have 2+ years on my H1B. I am having to transfer back to India soon and shall be based in India for more than a year. What are the considerations if one has to return back to his/her country after I140 is filed? What is the impact on whole GC process? You response is appreciated.

Now got job with 2 companies. 1 small and 1 big. 3 questions:
(1) Should I select based on my salary? Big company offers more salary.
(2) I have to now start Greencard again. So should I choose big company or small ? Both said they will consider sponsoring if performance is good.
(3) If I transfer H1B Is Big company likely to get RFE or small?
Go with consulting company.They will cooperate for your green card filing in EB-2. Any full time job never gaurantee green card.

Here is my interpertation,
"Cancelled without Prejuidice" means that they have cancelled the visa as it is no longer needed as they have approved you for your Permanent Residence. It also means that if you do not keep your Permanent Residence (you mentioned conditional in your note - so I'm presuming marriage based GC?) then you will have no difficulties in ever getting another visa should you ever need one.
if a visa is cancelled WITH prejudice - then you would have had great difficulty in ever getting another US Visa.
