First there is no concept of H1 Transfer. Your new employer applies for a new H1. You will not be counted towards the quota. The h4 is a derivative of your H1 and will need to be applied along with your h1 visa. It is fraud to use the old visa if you no longer work for that company and USCIS is very strict. If you are caught you will sent back at the poe and your H1 and her H4 will be cancelled and you guys will be in trouble. You will hear a lot of cok and bull my friend stories about how ppl have gotten through. The systems at the poe are no longer as primitive as you think and any discrepancy will result in denial of entry into the us. Contact a lawyer before doing any thing related to immigration. This should also act as an eyeopener for those people on H-1B who are just about now starting their GC process. Such people can forget getting a GC for the next 12-15 years.
If you are young (in late 20s), you should reevaluate this whole idea of coming here on EB GC. It maynot be worth the wait and the suffering.

I have done it once. It all depends on your relationship with your current employer. If they are ok with it, you shouldnt have any problems.

As valid an argument it may be, buying a house as a bargaining tactic will create a lot of bad publicity and would be counter-productive. I think if we want to do gandhigiri, lets send flowers to Senator Grassley. If you want to make an impact, do the unusual.
Imagine how media will report something like that. Even when Grassley is dead against EB people, those very same people are sending flowers to him, not asking for anything, not demanding anything, just respectfully reminding him that not all immigrants are bad, some are really instrumental to making this country great.
We should write a simple, short, positive, and respectful message without sarcasm and without asking for anything. Instead of saying how we can be helpful *if* we have a green card, lets just focus on how we are already a positive contribution to American economy and national interest despite the clouds of uncertainty. Some things are better left unsaid to get the message across. Instead of us saying it, let the media report it - imagine how much more their contribution could be if they had green card.
Here are some suggestions for short messages -
I am a physician with NIW working in town/area which is medically under served. I am not taking away any American jobs.
I am foreign but not cheap. I earn xxx. My income is x% above average wage in my profession; x% above the higher end of prevailing wage standards set by DOL. In addition, my employer is paying 10-20K in immigration costs, some of which goes to train more Americans in STEM.
I am doing research in some field of humanitarian or national interest. e.g. bio medicine, green technologies, etc.

I got I-140 Notice returned as undeliverable.
I got email notification on June 26 as approved and we will mail it to you.

You can just drag and drop the icon you want into Blend or explicitly add it via the Projects panel :)
Your question on connecting to an XML data source is interesting because there are several ways of doing this. One approach is by using Linq and just parsing the output.

I have an input search TextBox, but instead of using a simple button control (for the click event) I would like to use the magnifying glass icon as the search button --something similar to how Bing (on WP7) uses the mic in the search box. How can I accomplish this?

PHANI_TAVVALA's question might have offended you but I agree with the essense of his posting. What do you both think "Cancelled without prejudice" means? Isn't it obvious to anyone that the visa has been cancelled?

Hi,
I am Canadian citizen and planning to file AOS(ofcourse if there is some news from USCIS:)) currently, I am on TN visa which is of temporary intent unlike
H1B which is dual intent.
Planning to travel to Canada in Sept'07 while I am on TN and be back in Oct'07 on H1B which will be valid from Oct-01-2007 till Sept-2010. Will there be any problem if AOS is filed before I leave to Canada.
Also, my current TN Visa is valid till Sept-30 and my H1B will be effective on my travel back from Canada, if there is any gap between Sept-30 and the date I travel back will there be any problem due this gap once the AOS is filed?

H4 visa could be expired but was she having a valid I-94? I-94 is the one which validates her stay, if she had a valid I-94 then it should not be an issue...

We are also in the same boat. My wife and me finished FP on 10/2. Its already been 9days. No LUD on my case or my wife's case.
Do I need to worry or This is quite normal?
What if USCIS didnt have this nonsense LUD field in their online status, won't you have lived in peace?
