I think this is a hug issue that needs to be taken up with Ombudsman.
I am PD, Dec, 2004 and July 2 filer.
Mine is also NSC_CSC_NSC route.
Today, first level was unable to fileSR.
Second level said you are 400 days within processing time. Obviously, they are using 2006 date of CSC.

ICE (Immi and Customs Enforcement) has busted meat packing plants all over the US to hunt for illegals. This strategy has been going on since the illegals took to the streets actually and was followed by the impractical Border Fence legislation. This puts me in doubt wheter CIR will be considered at all, as USCIS and the Govt. seems to be concentrating on slowly rooting out the Illegals by conducting such raids.

Hi
Did anyone go to San Jose ASC at Charcot drive for their Biometrics?
I would appriciate if you can share your experience, in trems of, what time of the day did you go, was it crowded, how long did you wait, are the kids allowed inside, ease of the bio metrics process, have you been there before your actual appointment date, if yes what time of the day did you go and how soon were you done.
Also if your LUD changed after the appointment and did you call the FBI number to verify whether the prints were right?

My wife had applied for H1 last year through one desi employer. We received the H1. The employer took initial money from us to pay for the H1 fees promising that once project got started he would pay back. But during search for a project he mentally harassed us a lot. Luckily my PD became current, my wife got EAD and we could work independently. We were thinking of complaint against him to DOL. We have even prepared the case with all the documents and everything.
We were ready to send it but yesterday we came across a case of one Vishal Goyal who sued Patni for paying him low wages. Patni then threatened to harm his family in india if he doesent withdraw the case.
We are just afraid of something like that. I request people to please share if they have been abused by desi employer and if they have sucessfully complained to DOL and their experience in what they went through. Thank You.

Having said that, I would encourage you to go ahead and file the complaint. Don't get scared by these threats, it's not easy to harm anyone's family even back home in India. I took my employer to the court and the case was settled between lawyers but for you DOL is better. If you don't do anything at this point, it will keep bugging you all your life that you couldn't do anything against a blood sucker even when you are in USA (in my case that was the motivation even though I was at the edge financially).

i didn't want to do the newby thing and ask 'oh! how is it done?' so i went away and tried to do it myself (ha!)
i tried masking the text and having all sort of thing tweening in underneath, but i can't get the rays to beam out like that
just one question: is it done in actionscript?
PS if you want to take your secret to the grave i won't think anything less of you! :D

hi, based on my wife's experience(for H4 based on my H1B) they didn't give the I-94 valid till the full 3 years. They rather gave only for 2 years. Hence saying so.
Yah, may be yours is a peculiar case. But it won't happen like that always. If it happens to be like that, then you can ask the officer right away to give it to my the end date there on latest approval. Sometimes they are lazy, try to give to the date there on visa stamp only. But if you insist and show the latest approval, then will do it or if he/she can check other officers there and give it to the end date there on latest approval. It all depend on us and we need to check it properly and make sure that they are putting correct info.
For one of my friend, they gave few more days after the date on approval. So, they can put any date on I-94, if they want to. There is nothing wrong. It is upto the Port of entry officer.

I was in similar (not same) situation years back.. The difference was that in my case only one company applied for my H1B transfer and I got the approval without i-94, just like you and I had to re-enter.
I also stayed in the country looking for a job (without pay stub), etc... At the US embassy they only asked me how I got the next job, no other questions. Don't remember if they asked for my tax returns as at the time I did not make the required amount.. but I surly carried my returns.
I did not do any calculations in your case but the only thing that worries me is the time you were out of status. If it is more than 180 days then I might be little worried. May be guru's here can throw some light on that.

Also, keep looking for opportunities to write to editors, anchors etc., whenever they speak rubbish. All that we are doing now is letting the media know that legal immigrants have huge issues and unresolved problems. We are writing to them that things have been very unfair. We are educating them............

I'm the first person to let the people in Cisco systems to know about IV during its initial stage by mailing to the common email aliases used by Indians and Chinese and only person to do so until Apr 15, I left Cisco after that. I faced lot of criticisms but even then I would mail at least once in 3 weeks and remind them the importance of joining and contributing to IV. I believe there are at least 100 members from Cisco.
I made my friends to contribute and made them to post details about IV in companies such as HP, NetApp, BMS, and Symantec etc.
I have also volunteered when the admin or shery wanted volunteers.
I may not have done exceptional contribution when compared to the core members and senior member like you but did contribute to best of my effort and have email proofs/appreciation from members who have joined and contributed because of my initiation. Please send a private msg with your contact email, I can forward those emails.

Immigration at POE (Dulles airport) was breeze, first officer said, "oh..you have parole letter".
he checked something in the system and asked me to go inside..
Took baggage..went into customs...where they sent me into another room.
CBP officer took the AP..felt bad that I have been waiting since 2007 for GC..in < 5 mins, stamped and said, good luck..you are done.
Thats it.
